A last minute decision meant Tazmin and I headed off to the New Forest for a mid November break, a chance for us to get some walking in and to have some father/daughter time together. Since Tazmin had spent the last four months volunteering in Cambodia with YWAM, this was the first chance she'd had to experience the motorhome.
The main motivation was to get a twenty mile walk completed - which would constitute Tazmin's longest ever. We were staying near Brockenhurst at the only camp site we could find that was open in November. Our plan was to go for a circular walk via Lyndhurst, covering 12 miles before lunch, lunch in a Lyndhurst pub, then 8 miles back to the campsite. It almost went to plan.

We made good progress on the walk and very much enjoyed the New Forest, especially the wildlife. I really appreciated the opportunity to spend time with Tazmin, especially since she's been away from home for most of this year. Unfortunately I'd underestimated both the distance and the time we'd require - so Tazmin was less than impressed that we ended up trying to find our way back to the campsite in the dark. However - objective successfully completed. At just over 22 miles, it represents Tazmin's longest walk ever. Not too sure how long it took her legs to stop aching. 😏
I wish for the great of success in all of our destiny endeavors
